Spanish Class Add-Ons
For our programs in Peru, Guatemala and Costa Rica, we are delighted to offer additional Spanish classes to help you learn the local language from a native Spanish speaker! This is an excellent chance to learn some new skills, immerse yourself in local culture, and it will help you communicate better while on your volunteer program.
Why Book a Spanish Class?
Booking a Spanish class as part of your volunteer program can enhance your experience and help you connect more deeply with the community you're serving. Learning the language not only allows you to communicate more effectively with locals, but it also demonstrates respect for their culture, making interactions more meaningful. Even basic Spanish skills can be invaluable when navigating day-to-day situations, building relationships, and understanding cultural nuances.

What Type of Classes Can I Do?
Private Classes
One-on-one Spanish classes with certified, native-speaking teacher. Classes are
55-minutes. Note, no refunds when class lands on holidays; instead, free cultural tours & activities are led by a Spanish instructor.
Group Classes
Small group classes with certified, native-speaking Spanish teacher;
Classes average 3-5 students, with maximum of 8 students. Classes are
55-minutes. Cultural tours if class lands on a holiday.
Combo Classes
A mix of small group classes with certified, native-speaking Spanish teacher and private lessons. Classes average 3-5 students (max 8). Classes are
55-minutes. Cultural tours if class lands on a holiday.
Online Classes
One-on-One instruction with certified, native-speaking Spanish teacher, Monday-Friday, via Zoom. Small group classes have 3-5 students (max 8), Monday-Friday, via Zoom. Hourly classes are available on Saturdays and Sundays.
When Do I Do My Spanish Classes?
Spanish classes are done after or before your volunteer program each day. The times can vary from morning/afternoon depending on the hours of your volunteer program. Classes are booked on a weekly basis, for example if you book the weekly 2 hour/day class, you will have Spanish classes for 2 hours each day for 1 week. These lessons can help greatly when communicating on your program!
