Highlights: Spending time with the children every day and being able to build a relationship with them. Being give. The opportunity to teach these children about the importance of looking after themselves. Also meeting so many different people and being able to also travel the island on weekends.
Comments:
The team was so welcoming and really made it feel like a home away from home. The food was good and had no problems with it as if you wanted anything else from the kitchen they would try and help you get it. The accommodation was nice and clean, with no problems there either. I think for program description for this one it should be clear that it will be basic healthcare education to children with minimal English as I know that some people may expect something else before arrival.
Overall I had an amazing experience and I am already thinking of possibly doing the Fiji project next! I have attached two photos just from the day I did dental hygiene as for some reason the other ones aren’t attaching. Thank you so much for helping me get to Bali and for all your help, I really appreciate it!
