Nutrition & Health Teaching Bali!

"The accommodation was lovely and bigger than we had imagined. Also the bathroom facilities were so much better than what we thought it would be so we were all pleasantly surprised with that."

Highlights of the trip:

My highlights included the adventure week package there were so many new places that we visited and created many memories from. The week was full of a wide range of activities that was authentic to the area/country. Also having the guide with us on the week for all the activities really helped with feeling really comfortable and relaxed that we weren’t offending the locals and the culture. Also another highlight was the volunteering placement, one of the first days the team sat us down and had a debrief on what school setting we had and what we were expected to teach them also when we arrived at the school all the members of the staff there were so welcoming and happy to see us which made a great atmosphere for the whole week.

Comments on the team, food and accommodation:

The team were extremely welcoming and friendly and made our stay feel very special. It was made very clear if we had any problems and concerns that we could come and talk to any member of staff and if an emergency arose who to contact and what the number was. The food that was prepared was very nice and authentic to the local area most of the time except for Wednesdays every week where they would produce a western dish as a gesture to us. However, the food was prepared for certain times of the day and this sometimes could clash with our plans for the day. The accommodation was lovely and bigger than we had imagined. Also the bathroom facilities were so much better than what we thought it would be so we were all pleasantly surprised with that.

Any improvements to help us be better:

When our flight got cancelled on the way back to England due to bad weather it was difficult to get in contact with the team over the phone and to speak to someone who could help give us some information on how this would affect us.
